Pardon Process
Pardon Process
A pardon application in most states is sent to the Board of Pardons and Parole. They review the application first and decide whether to grant a hearing. If you are granted a hearing, you get to attend the hearing in the states capital with an attorney there (optional) to represent you. You get to present your case as to why you are rehabilitated and why you need and deserve to have your conviction pardoned. If the Board's vote is in favor of the pardon, it is sent on to the Governor for final approval.
How to Start the Pardon Process
We start the same day you sign up. Having experience with like cases, we know how to get records cleared as fast as possible. The process to receive a pardon in the United States is very lengthy. It is currently taking between 3.5 and 4 years for the Board to review an application. The Board operates on a first-come, first-served basis, so the sooner you start, the sooner your conviction can be pardoned. After you receive a pardon, the conviction is eligible to be judicially expunged.
Our fee is broken down into two parts. The first flat fee covers the application. We will obtain the application on your behalf, assist in preparing and review the application, and file the application with the Board of Pardons. If you are granted a hearing, there will be an additional fee to have an attorney help prepare you for and appear with you at the hearing before the Board.
